WMU Red Box Item

Due October 15, 2020

The item the Caldwell Baptist Association will be collecting this year for the Red Box Ministry is soap. This is a ministry of the NC WMU and the boxes are distributed to women inmates in NC prisons. Please notice the specific guidelines for the soap. Must be a 4-5 ounce size (family size bar) individually wrapped and price stickers must be removed from each bar. Since many churches are not in full operation at this time, individuals may bring the soap directly to the Baptist Center. Please go to the back of the building and ring the doorbell and someone will assist you. Must be delivered to the Baptist Center no later than Thursday, October 15. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm and 1:30-4:30pm.

Appalachian Christmas Outreach 2020

The Caldwell Baptist Association in conjunction with the Baptists on Mission would like to encourage our churches to participate in packing backpacks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people living in the Appalachian Area.  One of the greatest ministry needs in this area occurs around Christmastime. NCBM is calling on churches statewide to respond to this need through Appalachian Christmas Outreach 2020. The state has a goal to collect 18,000 backpacks of items to be distributed to Appalachian children in areas of need in December 2020.  If your church is interested in participating in this mission opportunity, click on the link for more information or contact Miranda Denning via phone call or text at 828-394-9713.  Filled backpacks must be taken to Lakeview Baptist Church, 325 Shasta Lane in Lenoir on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Please do not bring the backpacks to the Baptist Center.
