Caldwell Baptists are involved in numerous mission activities in Caldwell County.   The Missions Evangelism Ministries Group of the

Caldwell Association is sponsoring the following ministries.


3 Local Ongoing Ministries

  • Green Mountain Park

We have a Worship Service at Green Mountain Park every Sunday morning during the months of April through November led by pastors and musicians from our associational churches.  Seven weeks every summer, in the months of June and July, churches lead in a Day Camp at Green Mountain Park.

 


  • Lenoir Park Retirement Community

A Bible study is held every Tuesday morning at Lenoir Park led by pastors and teachers from Caldwell Baptist churches.


  • Helping Hands Clinic

Two afternoons each week Caldwell Baptist provides food for the purpose of feeding volunteer doctors and nurses as they volunteer their time to see patients at the Helping Hands Clinic.  The purpose of the Helping Hands Clinic is to provide primary medical care and diagnosis to people who have no means of paying for medical care.


3 Permanent Teams

  • Baptist Men's Team

Assist congregations in educating and involving men and boys in missions.  Develops projects and ministries to help meet needs in conjunction with church leaders.


  • Disaster Relief Team

Coordinates disaster relief work for the Caldwell Baptist Association.  This team works with leaders of North Carolina Baptist Men and the American Red Cross in responding to disasters.


  • Woman's Missionary Union Team

Assist churches in promoting missions and in establishing, enlarging, and strengthening WMU work.  Discovers needs in the churches and communities from leaders of women and girls and helps to implement action plans to meet needs.

Outside of Caldwell County

 

  • North Carolina Mission Projects

Works with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina to receive mission project assignments.  Plans North Carolina mission trips and other mission projects.  Enlists volunteers from Caldwell associational churches to carry out these projects.


  • North American Mission Projects

Works with the North American Mission Board to receive mission project assignments.  Plans and promotes North American mission trips.  Secures volunteers from Caldwell associational churches and provides training for these mission trips.


  • International Mission Projects

Works with the International Mission Board and international missionaries to receive mission project assignments.  Plans international mission trips.  Secures volunteers from Caldwell associational churches.  Provides training for international partnership mission trips.


Other Mission Opportunities

  • Evangelism

Encourages church members to be involved in personal evangelism.  Provides training opportunities and awareness of evangelistic resources.  Works with church leaders in planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating mass evangelism efforts.


  • Bible Reaching/Teaching

Offers to help congregations in building and maintaining effective and efficient Sunday School ministries.  Works with Sunday School leaders and creates an awareness of resources and services available to congregations.


  • Vacation Bible School

Provides special training for Vacation Bible School directors and pastors followed with training for all Vacation Bible School workers.


  • New Work

Calico Baptist Mission on Calico Road 

 


  • Parade for the Hungry

Caldwell Baptist associational churches collect food and money to feed the hungry in Caldwell County.  The parade is held once every year on World Hunger Sunday in October.  It begins at the Hudson Middle School and ends at the First Baptist Church of Hudson.  Certificates are presented to the church with the "Most Food Items Collected," the church with the "Most Money Raised," the church with the "Most Participants in the Parade," and the church with the "Best Banner."
